In Class 4 we have Year 5 and Year 6 pupils taught by Lucy Jackson and Louise Corrigan.
For our oldest Key Stage 2 pupils it is a time to use their knowledge and skills in more complex contexts to make clear choices and express opinions about their work.
It is also a time to take on greater responsibility in the life of our school, both as 'Buddies' to the Reception children and in assuming responsibility for running the fortnightly Sharing Assembly.
Across Key Stage 2, children experience a broad Curriculum, including: Art, Music and French. In addition, Work-out Wednesday enables the children in Key Stage 2 to take part in Physical Activity.
Within some subjects, Specialist Teachers are employed to give the children the opportunity to further develop their skills.
For Year 6 pupils, it is a particularly significant year and we encourage them to maximise learning opportunities, both in and out-of-school. This includes a thorough transition for Secondary School, undertaking independent travel to Stratford. We believe it is important to develop leadership skills that contribute to the well-being of everybody in our school and to prepare them for their next step in their education and beyond.
