Margaret Lunnon (Headteacher)
I am Headteacher at Hampton Lucy CofE Primary School and Nursery with 95 pupils and 10 nursery places. I have been in post for 16 years during which time I have been a Consultant Headteacher for the Local Authority working in a wide range of schools and I have piloted dual headship with another local Church of England Primary School. I have been involved with the Diocese of Coventry leading on the Professional Leadership Course linked with Liverpool Hope University. This involved working with newly appointed Headteachers and Leaders from across the country. This role has enabled me to become part of a pilot Chaplaincy Team for the Diocese of Coventry one day a week to support the staff that work in church schools.
Our school is a very good school with outstanding practice and I am proud to be part of the team that has achieved this. I was delighted at the judgment of Outstanding in our SIAS inspection because I believe that it is crucial that we all know what it means to be in a Church of England Primary School. The children are the heart of the school and it is their leadership that inspires me. The children in school feel safe and learn about the values and morals that enable them to achieve academically, socially, morally, spiritually and culturally.
Dave Holland (LA Governor and Chair)
Dave runs his own business managing IT and business change programmes. Dave has two children at the school; has been a parent governor for 4 years and is now Chair of the Resources Committee with particular focus on school finances. Dave is also the governor with responsibility for IT.
As a parent and local resident, my priority is to support the school in its drive for continuous improvement, while ensuring it plays a central part in the community.
Sue Lampitt (Church Foundation Governor)
Sue has a longstanding association with the school. Now retired, Sue enjoyed a career as a local secondary school teacher combined with farming. Sue is a member of the Performance & Standards Committee.
Hampton Lucy CofE Primary School and Nursery is a very special place for me. Three generations of my family have attended this school and I have volunteered here on and off for forty years. I have a particular interest in Early Years and Primary education because these are the foundation of all that follows. Love of learning developed in the early years will last a lifetime.
Marion Allerton (Co-opted Governor, Vice Chair and Chair of Performance and Standards)
Marion is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and currently works for Nokia on the 4G rollout/upgrade project. Three children have been educated at Hampton Lucy - one is still here. Marion is involved with Safeguarding at the school as well as performance and standards. She has been a governor for nearly four years.
Outside of the world of governors and work, Marion is the "taxi service" for her children and their numerous activities. The family have an allotment so summer months are taken up with constant weeding!
Dean Howes (Church Foundation Governor)
Dean runs his own coaching and consultancy business in wellbeing and performance. Also, as a qualified teacher and lecturer, he continues to works dynamically within the education field. Dean has a daughter at the school and is an active member of the local church congregation.
Hampton Lucy CofE Primary School is a unique and treasured school where the church, community, staff, parents and pupils combine to create a positive and life-affirming experience. As Foundation governor, I hope to continue and enhance this experience for all involved.
